...nothing special is happening but everything glows...

What is this?

The Quiet Circus is a 15-month long performance residency at the Washington Avenue Pier, created by Headlong.  Audiences and participants alike are invited to engage in a single, ongoing arc of events along Philadelphia’s Schuylkill and Delaware Rivers.

The participatory events occur at the Washington Avenue Pier every Saturday from 11AM to 1PM in Fall 2016, Spring 2017, and Fall 2017. Participant and community reflection activities happen in the months in between. Four River Charrettes, produced together with Philadelphia Contemporary, also take place during this time at wildly different sites along Philadelphia's waterfronts.

Throughout The Quiet Circus performances and events mindfulness as an artistic practice pervades, as audiences and performers co-create the experience.
